Solving Polynomials - Monomials, Binomials, Trinomials, Pre Algebra

ADDING POLYNOMIALS

Like solving an expression, you group together your like terms, then solve for the terms

EXAMPLE:
(6x + 2y) + (4x - 7) + (3y -4) First, take all the terms out of the brackets
6x + 2y + 4x - 7 + 3y - 4 = Now place all the like terms together
(6x + 4x) + (2y + 3y) + (-7 -4) = Now solve for the terms
10x + 5y -11 Answer

PRACTICE SOLVING POLYNOMIAL

FYI - Whether your polynomial has 1 term, 2 terms, 3 terms; use the same method to add and solve them

(4x + 6y -3) + (3x -4y + 9)
